The Young Man For All Seasons

There are times when it appears that we have looked at all pictures that exist of Britain’s Royal family – their affluence and all. This is especially true because they are in the public’s eye so much, and some of these photos we see repeatedly; like them in expensive gowns and stuff. But of course, we have not seen all there is to see. So there are those collections of snaps that basically everyone knows about, then there are others that are rare or have never been seen by the public. This is why this compilation of rare photos depicting the Royals, has been put together for all to appreciate. You would just love them!

When You Know You Have That Winning Smile

Oh wow, it’s Prince Harry with braces! Did anyone even know he wore them? Well, apparently, he did for a spell way back in 1999. And here’s the picture to prove it. It was taken on Christmas Day at the Sandringham Estate, where the Royals traditionally spend Christmas and New Year. They exchange gifts as regular families do, while they also get the chance to come together and enjoy some time off. The Prince has certainly matured a lot since then.  But isn’t it great to reminisce on when he had a typical growing up moment?

Fun Times At Park House

Here’s Princess Diana with her younger brother Charles, the 9th Earl of Spencer. This photo was snapped at Park House at Sandringham, in Norfolk. It was during the summer months of ’67, and the year when their parents split up. The divorce was not finalized until 1969. Diana recounted memories of a childhood that was, all in all, not particularly happy and filled with instability. Unfortunately, she herself would go through a breakup many years later, which was quite traumatic for her two young sons, even if she remained a spectacular mother after her split from Prince Charles.

Dealing With Formalities Early On

It’s Prince Charles’ seventh birthday, and he’s all formally dressed up for the special occasion in a Balmoral tartan kilt. This Balmoral is an original, having Prince Albert, who was Queen Victoria’s spouse then, as the designer during 1853. Queen Elizabeth sports it as if it is a regular skirt. Various members in the Royal household wear it also, but with permission granted from the Queen only. This goes to show you how significant and respected this outfit is. Charles is looking so serious here, and so cute, too. Have you ever seen him that young?

The Young Duchess Wondering Why All The Fuss Over All This Mud Pie-Making Material

Here’s Kate Middleton (left), now the Duchess of Cambridge, married to Prince William. From 1984 to 1986, her family called Amman, Jordan home. She was two years old when they moved. Her younger sister, Pippa (right) was an eight-month-old baby. Her father was a British Airways employee at the time and for certain, he never expected his daughter would marry a member of the Royal Family. Well, Kate’s Dad was given the offer to move to the Jordanian capital and he took it, as his salary would probably increase this way. As you can see, the girls are so tanned from all that sunshine.

And Baby Makes Three…

This lovely family portrait is of Prince William with his famous mother, Princess Diana, and father, Prince Charles. The photo was taken in March 1983 at the Kensington Palace where the couple lived. They occupied a double apartment on the north side of the palace (not just any apartment; more like a deluxe house!). It’s a really endearing photo, as Charles and Diana have the look of a happy couple who are infatuated with each other. Diana seems content and so does William. They look like the perfect family, and soon later, they would welcome their second son.

The Princess Daydreaming About The Day She Finally Gets To Boss People Around

In this picture, Queen Elizabeth was ten years old. It was the year King Edward VIII abdicated the throne, to marry the American, Wallace Simpson. Simpson was a twice-divorced woman with a living former spouse and therefore it was forbidden by the Church of England for Edward to marry. The abdication resulted in Elizabeth’s father, George VI, to become the King of England. He had only two daughters, therefore Elizabeth, the eldest, became heir presumptive with a new legacy. Her whole life was forever changed, and she realized that one day, she would get to sit on the Throne.

How Much Longer Until I Forget Where I Put This Outfit?

Diana’s sister, Lady Jane Spencer, got married only three years before Diana did. She wed Mr. Robert Fellowes in 1978, and Dianna was a bridesmaid at the wedding. In this picture, she was only 16, and possibly had no choice but to wear the dress that was selected for the wedding, even if the style wasn’t one she would normally wear. The whole world would begin to see her amazing style some years later after she would marry Prince Charles, when her clothing options redefined what an everyday British woman wore.

An Officer & A Nobleman

Prince Philip was a Royal Navy lieutenant, the first lieutenant of HMS Wallace, to be exact. He boarded the Navy ship alright, and it was no yacht! In 1943, by creating a diversion during the  Sicily invasion, he rescued his ship from a night bomber attack. He had the idea of throwing overboard wooden rafts with smoke floats. It would then look like debris burning on the water. The enemy would, therefore, think their ship was already destroyed. It worked, and his ship was able to then sail away without being seen.

The Newlyweds

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle, seem very happy together, following their nuptials which became the globe’s hottest topic. Now they have even more reasons to be thrilled since the Duchess is pregnant with their first baby. In October 2018, Kensington Palace confirmed that Prince Harry and Meghan are expecting their first child together. Fans are excited as well! However, according to the decree that King George VI made in 1917, Harry’s and Meghan’s children won’t bear the titles “prince” or “princess”. They will instead be referred to as “Lady” or “Lord”.

Prince Beatrice and Princess Eugenie In Vogue

Shortly before the royal wedding of Princess Eugenie and her wine merchant husband, the two sisters gave an interview for Vogue and were featured on the cover of the magazine. Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice looked dashing as they posed for photos with their dogs. The daughters of Prince Andrew, Duke of York, gave a candid interview as an attempt to share their world. According to the interview, they wanted the world to see them as working young royal women. They wore brocade coats and embroidered dresses for the shoot.

Harry and Meghan Visiting Australia

As part of their tour, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited Australia and walked hand in hand at the beach. Meghan wore flats this time, which was practical, of course, and she looked as stylish as ever. During their visit, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle greeted a large group of fans and even tried the public transport. They took the tram ride for the South Melbourne Beach like everyone else. The royal couple also visited a restaurant there in October 2018 and tasted the native superfoods such as finger limes, riberries, wild boar etc.

Rare Picture of The Baby Bump On Harry & Meghan’s Night Out!

The youngest Royal couple attended a charity event at the Royal Variety Performance and they both looked gorgeous as ever, with the Duchess of Sussex stealing the camera lenses away from Prince Harry with her cute baby bump! Her designer outfit by Safiyaa fits her like a glove and she looked fresh as day! Prince Harry did not look bad himself either, and he chose to match his outfit colors with his lovely wife! The couple is to become parents for the first time in spring 2019 and we can’t wait to meet the new royal member!

Following His Heart In The Pursuit Of Knowledge

Prince Charles completed his A-levels at Gordonstoun School, in total gaining five O-levels, and two A-levels  (French C, History B). He decided to enroll at Trinity College, at Cambridge University in 1967, in lieu of joining the British Armed Forces. Anthropology and history had comprised his studies. He earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree, and graduated in 1970, officially making him the first heir apparent to the English throne to be a university graduate, as before him, most heirs used to join the British Army, where they spent many years before getting married.

Grandfather & Grandson

Isn’t this a heartwarming photo? Charles, Prince of Wales, holding his youngest grandchild, Prince Louis. We are not used to seeing photos like this of the Duke of Cornwall and we must say it is one of our favorite royal portraits. This beautiful photograph shows just how strong his bond is with his family and especially with this little guy. The youngest child of Prince William and Kate Middleton won’t have to worry about a thing growing up since his father currently sits on a $40 million net worth. Prince Louis was born on April 23, 2018.

Ready For a New Chapter In Life & Real Pies

Kate Middleton and Prince William met at the University of St. Andrews in Fife, Scotland, in 2001. The two were living in the same dormitory during their first year, and they had several classes together as well. In 2005, they both graduated from St. Andrews. This was long before their engagement. William graduated with a master of arts in geography, while  Middleton had a master of arts degree in art history. This is a picture of her on her graduation day, at a time when (as she claimed) she didn’t even know who Prince William was.

Harry Can’t Take His Eyes of His Wife’s Pregnant Belly

We’re approaching the day that a new royal is born into this world. Things are going to change in comparison to what we’ve always seen in the royal family as Meghan Markle & Prince Harry get ready to welcome their 1st child. They decided to move into a new home in the Windsor palace, far from the city so that they can raise their baby the way they want to & not in the fast-paced & noisy city life. Recently, they visited the Bristol Old Vic Theatre. While there, the thirty-four-year-old dad-to-be couldn’t stop himself from looking at his wife’s baby bump every few minutes.

Bringing His Personal Touch To Fatherhood

Here’s another photo of  Prince Charles. This time, he’s sitting in a garden with his sons Prince William (right) and Prince Harry. It was captured in 1988 when Charles and Princess Diana were still a married couple, long before their notorious divorce which divided the public opinion. It’s sort of cute that the boys are dressed alike; and perhaps rather fitting because they might not have been twins, but have always been close. Everyone looks quite content, and the photo indicates that the boys’ famous father Charles has always cared about his sons.

The Birth Of A Future Royal And Her Regal Style

Here are photos of Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, as a baby and her mom, Gloria Ragland. As a new mom who just gave birth, Ms. Ragland’s face on the left reflects what virtually every new mom feels—a mixture of emotions comprising total joy, fatigue, relief, fascination with the baby, and a little bit of shock. The little baby, on the other hand, is the exact opposite and seems as calm as could be in front of the camera. Her instincts probably told her of her future career and royal role? Meghan is set to give birth to her first child some time in late April to early May 2019.

A Royal Embrace

Isn’t this a heartwarming sight? It’s not a secret that Queen Elizabeth II and Kate Middleton get on very well and often undertake public engagements together. As they arrived at the Christmas Day service in 2013, Kate gave Her Majesty the Queen a sweet kiss while the Queen embraced the Duchess of Cambridge. We’re not used to seeing members of the Royal family display affection in public (especially the Queen) and we are always curious to see those rare moments. Luckily, the paparazzi was there with the camera to catch the precious shot, which became the hottest topic among celebrity news!

Kate Wearing Khaki in the Garden

The Duchess of Cambridge made an appearance in a London garden today in an aim to bring community members closer together. Kate who’s married to Prince William, wore a jeans ideal for outdoor activity. Kate wanted to witness firsthand how the project manages to bring people closer together through gardening & food growing. Kate was all smile as she shook the hands of the adoring public. She also wore her lace up boots, suitable for a walk in the garden. Kate had fine gold leaf earrings on her ears.

Meghan’s Buby Bump At the Animal Shelter

Meghan is pregnant and so very glamorous. She’s glowing and smiling and looks just great. Meghan arrived to The Mayhew located in North London, where she made a charity visit to an animal shelter; It’s her 1st visit to the center after she was honored as a patron. She has 2 rescue dogs; Guy & Bogart. Like always, the paparazzi were ready on the ground waiting for the Duchess to arrive. When Meghan came, one of her assistants had to bring an umbrella because it was raining.

Kate and Meghan are All Smiles at Christmas Day church service in Sandringham

Kate & Meghan seemed happy together (despite rumors they were not getting along well) when they joined their husbands, Queen Elizabeth & other royal family members at a Christmas Day church service taking place in Sandringham. Adoring crowds gave them a warm welcoming when they saw them on their way to St Mary Magdalene’s Church in Norfolk. Prince Phillip & Camilla didn’t join the rest of the royals today, it was said that Phillip is feeling well and will spend the day resting with his immediate family. It was quite a show of solidarity between the fab four (Kate, Harry, Meghan and William.

Prince Harry and Meghan Release Never-Before-Seen Royal Wedding Photo for Their First Christmas Card

Prince Harry and Meghan have shared their 1st, lovely Christmas card. Kensington Palace dropped it on social media, showing Harry & Meghan looking at the fireworks at their wedding reception earlier this year. The newlyweds are showing their back to the camera as they watch the fireworks together. This is the 1st official Christmas card by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. They were engaged in December 2017 but didn’t release a card together till now. The couple are now expecting their 1st child. He is due in early 2019.

How Sweet! The Queen Has A Photo of the Newlyweds

You can’t deny the fact that the Buckingham Palace is a very cool mansion in the United Kingdom. The interior of the place is just amazing and stepping inside it really makes you feel like a Royal yourself. In the photo above, we see that the Queen actually has a picture of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on display. This particular shot was taken during Australia Commissioner George Brandis’ visit to the Queen. Reports say that the photo of the newlyweds was never posted to the public and it was intended solely for the newlyweds’ grandmother herself.

“Mother, I Can See The Ponies For The Pony Rides Later!”

This one is a 1952 photo of Queen Elizabeth with her son Prince Charles on the occasion of his fourth birthday. Charles long ago revealed that the relationship between him and his mother growing up was cold. But this picture belies this. They both look so happy together at their deluxe house. Charles could have been terribly excited about some birthday treat. The Royals do not forget a family member’s birthday and everyone’s special day is celebrated.

Quite A Little Lady!

Princess Diana poses for her photo at only two years old. She was at Park House, at home at Sandringham, in Norfolk. It’s located in the Queen’s country home, Sandringham Estate. The actual house that Lady Diana lived in with her family was leased from Queen Elizabeth for a fair amount of money. As a result of being geographically so close to the Royals plus being an aristocrat, Lady Diana grew up playing with Andrew and Edward, Prince Charles’ younger brothers.

The Duchess LOLing

In this cute photo, we can see the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, laughing out loud over something she heard.  There she was with Prince William at the Global Ministerial Mental Health summit in 2018, gracious as ever and with her fashion style on point.  That day, both Kate, the mom of three, and her Royal husband were invited to contribute to the painting of artist Dairo Vargas. After taking the brush and making her contribution to the canvas, Kate burst into laughter over something that was very funny apparently.

Joy Bells & Wedding Bells Are Ringing

On July 9, 1947, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip made their engagement announcement. But the engagement wasn’t new. It had happened a year prior. However, King George VI, Elizabeth’s father, had said they should wait to announce it until after Elizabeth had turned 21, which was on April 1947. Philip’s luxury engagement ring to Elizabeth was a 3-carat round diamond. It also had diamond side stones set in platinum. The couple met in 1934 and began to exchange letters.

Raising Confident Princesses

The Duchess of York, Princess Elizabeth, was born three years into the marriage of King George and his wife Elizabeth. Four years after, along came Princess Margaret Rose, the Royal couple’s second daughter. The Queen Mother felt a deep attachment to her children and loathed leaving them. A little after Elizabeth was born, King George and the Queen Mother went to Australia to open their Parliament house, situated in Canberra. Elizabeth was very unhappy the whole trip about leaving the baby.

Prince Charles 70th Birthday Family Portrait – Someone is Missing!

We already know that Queen Elizabeth II adorns her audience room with photos of her grandchildren. And we are pretty sure that this adorable family portrait will have a rightful place in the palace! However, since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are expecting their first child in Spring 2019, they may need to do another one once the newest member of the royal family is born! It is said that this one, though, is taken as a souvenir of Prince Charles 70th birthday in November 2018. We can’t help but comment that all three generations look gorgeous with Meghan and Kate looking stunning in their designer dresses! Shame Queen Elizabeth isn’t present in the picture.

Meghan’s First Royal Thanksgiving

Today marks the official first Thanksgiving of Meghan Markle as a royal family member. She is set to celebrate the traditional US holiday with her husband, Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex. The 37-year-old Duchess of Sussex is expected to welcome her first royal baby this coming Spring 2019. Now that they are living next door to Prince William’s brood, they might be invited for a Thanksgiving meal. However, it is still uncertain if they would celebrate the meal with Prince William’s family or if Meghan invited her mother to spend the evening with the two of them.

Perfect Bosom Buddies

Princess Margaret (right) became Countess of Snowdon and a person of some controversy. Just after World War II had ended, she developed a serious infatuation for Group Captain Peter Townsend who was married. During ’52, he got divorced then proposed to Margaret. However, the Church of England forbade her to wed a divorcé. After a while, she stopped seeing Townsend. Eventually, in her best designer gown, Margaret married Antony Armstrong-Jones, a photographer. Unfortunately, the couple divorced 18 years later and it was claimed that she had other male interests afterward.

The Dukes & the Duchesses Hand In Hand

Meghan Markle’s relationship with Prince Harry’s family has always been private but as far as we know, she gets along with everyone. It is even said that she has gotten close to Prince William and Kate Middleton. During Meghan and Harry’s engagement, the Prince mentioned in an interview that Meghan and Kate just naturally became friends. The two women seem to be very much alike that it was even reported in October 2018 that they both wore a polka dot dress just a couple of days apart. It is safe to say that these two have really good fashion sense!

The Day An Actress Turned Into A Royal

Meghan Markle has definitely come a long way from her days as Rachel Zane on Suits.  The photo above was taken during Meghan and Prince Harry’s ‘big day’ in May 2018. The two definitely looked their best during that occasion and fans just loved watching every second of the whole event. Markle looked simple yet elegant and we’re sure she will cherish that day forever. In October 2018, the newlyweds announced that Markle has conceived their first child. Of course, the Internet went crazy and everyone can’t wait for the baby to be born.

Rocking The Pearls

Then-Princess Elizabeth was only 21 years old when she got engaged to Prince Philip in 1947. When it became public that they were to get married, the couple had a photoshoot and released some photos for the public to see. In the image above, Elizabeth looked very beautiful in her outfit, which she accessorized with some pearls around her neck. There was a lot of people back then who thought that Philip was not a good match for Elizabeth. Nonetheless, the couple’s love was very strong. Some recent news about her is that in May 2018, she underwent cataract surgery.

Prince Harry and The Royal Ballet

You already know that Prince Harry likes to make people laugh, it’s one of the things we love about him. On this occasion, Prince Harry didn’t hesitate to join the little ballerinas during his visit to Ealing YMCA. On Wednesday, April 3, 2019, the Duke of Sussex paid a visit to this group of students and watched the cute dancers perform the dance for him and then joined them in an attempt to do the same. Judging by this, Harry will clearly be a very fun dad. The royal baby will arrive any day now.

Being A Mom At 22

After Princess Elizabeth tied the knot with Prince Philip, it was not too long before she became pregnant with their first child. She gave birth to Prince Charles in 1948 and she was definitely on to a new chapter in her life because she was entering motherhood. She clearly fell in love with Charles the moment she laid her eyes on him. It was also not too long a wait for the couple to start taking some photos with him. Prince Charles is next in line to the British throne once Elizabeth is gone.

Prince Harry Shares Adorable Private Photo He Took Of Meghan Markle and Her Bump

No matter the affluence within the palace walls, it seems that a stroll in the woods can be as romantic and relaxing as it is for every newlywed couple. It becomes even sweeter now that they have created another life together. This photo actually shows the sweet side of Prince Harry, who, believe it or not, is the one that captured it. The couple announced Meghan’s pregnancy on October 15, 2018,  and the world is now getting curious about the name they will decide to give to the newborn! Do you think it’s going to be Diana? We can’t wait to find out!

Playing Dress Up

Everyone in the Royal family was adorable when they were younger. Elizabeth was quite cute as a child and her sense of style was evident, even at such a young age. Elizabeth liked playing dress up and she was fond of dressing up like an adult. She even had a purse that had an “E” labeled on it. Her passion for fashion just continued on as she got older and we bet she felt very happy whenever she got to wear the best designer gowns available. The little girl on the left is her younger sister, Princess Margaret. Margaret passed away in 2002 due to cardiac problems.

Elizabeth The Dog Lover

Ever since Queen Elizabeth was a young girl, she always loved animals. In the Royal family, having pet dogs is quite normal and Elizabeth always loved the dogs she lived with. She clearly was not scared to get down and dirty as she hugged and played with her pet dog, as seen in the photo above. The dog also clearly loved her so much that he gives her kisses all the time. Aside from dogs, Elizabeth also had a love for horses. We’re sure the animals they own are of the best quality given the fact that they have great affluence.

A Woman In Uniform

Just like a lot of other Royals, Queen Elizabeth II also had a time when she was a part of the Army. Though most Royals who serve in the military are men, Elizabeth actually takes credit for being the first woman in the family who served in the Army. Elizabeth was with the British Army’s branch for women called the Auxiliary Territorial Service. She was able to undergo mechanic and driving training then she eventually reached an honorary junior commander rank. Most of her public duties started when WWII was happening. You won’t see any lavish jewelry on her in the photo above but she still looks fabulous in her uniform.

The Lovable Corgis

As we have already mentioned, Queen Elizabeth really loves dogs. When it comes to the dog breed she loves the most, Elizabeth claims she loves Corgis. Corgis reportedly have been around since the 10th century and Elizabeth started to love them ever since she met the Royal family’s first ever Corgi named Dookie back in 1933. Growing up, Elizabeth was always fond of playing around with her Pembroke Welsh Corgis. Her Corgi named Susan was gifted to her when she turned 18 years old. We’re sure Elizabeth valued her pets so much that she would have paid their weight in gold to keep them safe.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex

Needless to say, the royal wedding of Prince William and Suits actress Meghan Markle was the wedding of the year. Meghan wore two wedding gowns for the big occasion and you can see the second dress in the photo above. She wore a lovely yet simple white Stella McCartney gown for the reception that she later chose not to showcase to the public. In October 2018, Meghan and Harry announced that they were expecting their first child together. The baby is expected to arrive in the spring of 2019.

Another Royal Wedding

There was another royal wedding in 2018 and this time it was Princess Eugenie tying the knot with Jack Brooksbank. Eugenie’s parents are Prince Andrew, Duke of York, and Sara, Duchess of York. The Princess and her boyfriend dated for seven years before they announced their engagement in January 2018 and the couple worked on the design of the engagement ring together. Princess Eugenie got married in a lavish ceremony and she wore a beautiful gown by Peter Piloto. The wedding took place at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, on October 12, 2018.

The Youngest Prince’s Christening

On April 23, 2018, Prince George and Princess Charlotte got a brother, Prince Louis. The third child of Prince William and Kate Middleton is already 7 months old and his christening was marked by the royal family taking several portraits together. Kate wore a stunning white gown while her husband and children were dressed in lovely blue and white outfits. The christening took place on July 9, and it was the first time the family of five (Prince William, Kate, and their three children) appeared in public together. The royal portraits were taken by professional photographer Matt Holyoak.

Queen Elizabeth II Attending London Fashion Week

Queen Elizabeth II may be 92 years old but she still appears in public. The longest-reigning British monarch carries out fewer public engagements due to her age, however, she surprised everyone when she appeared at the London Fashion Week in February 2018. She met numerous young designers backstage and she was photographed sitting next to Anna Wintour. The Queen reportedly smiled throughout the show and chatted with her front row companions Rush and Wintour. According to the family, The Queen came to present the inaugural Queen II Elizabeth Award for British Design.

Prince Charles And His Sons Pose For New Stamps

This lovely photo of Prince Charles and his sons, Prince William, and Prince Harry was taken recently. The purpose was the release of new stamps to mark the birthday of the Prince of Wales. Prince Charles celebrated his 70th birthday on November 14 and for this occasion, a set of six new stamps was released including this previously unseen photo. Other photo included one with Camilla and two formal portraits of the Prince. For his birthday, a special dinner was hosted at the opulent Buckingham Palace by the Queen and royalty from across Europe attended the event.

The Queen and Britan’s National Treasure

Perhaps it’s not so surprising that Her Majesty the Queen and Sir David Attenborough share a special connection. The man referred to as Britain’s national treasure talked informally with Queen Elizabeth II earlier in 2018 while filming The Queen’s Green Planet. They took a walk through the palace and discussed a variety of things including climate change. In fact, inspired by the conversation with Attenborough in April 2018, the Queen made a change in her garden. She asked her gardening team to move the sundial to a sunnier spot, as per Sir David’s suggestion.

Hush, Daddy

Given the fact that Queen Elizabeth II had a ton of Royal duties to attend to, she was not able to attend to her kids all the time. The Royals can definitely afford to have nannies around since they are very opulent people. The Royal family’s nannies play a big role in how the kids were able to grow up properly. We’re sure all of them valued their nannies so much.  In the photo above, it seems that Elizabeth found some quality time with their kids. The Queen still has some duties to this day while Prince Philip retired in 2017.

Baby Elizabeth

In the photo above, baby Elizabeth was captured with her parents King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. During the time she born, her grandpa King George V was the reigning king. When Elizabeth was a young girl, she was never really expected to claim the throne. The environment they surrounded Elizabeth with was very normal and they did not really live an overly lavish lifestyle. Elizabeth and her family reportedly cleaned the dishes and cooked their own food from time to time. Elizabeth’s father passed away in 1952 while her mother died in 2002.

Mingling With The Horses

People who come from families of great affluence usually have some experience as equestrians at some point in their lives. Queen Elizabeth was always fond of horses and she was always surrounded by them throughout her whole life. She often pays a visit to the horses within the palace grounds and as you can see in the photo above, she always looked good doing so. No matter what the occasion is, Elizabeth seems like she is always photo-ready. Her husband Prince Philip looks dashing as well in his casual attire. The book titled The Little Princesses shares a lot about the love Elizabeth has for horses.

Momma’s Boy

Princess Diana was a very loved member of the Royal family despite all the scandals that surrounded her. It was truly sad that she left us way too soon, after a fatal car accident back in 1997. Her eldest son, Prince William, was about 15 years old when the accident happened. William was broken into pieces when he lost his mom since he clearly shared a great bond with her. The photo above is definitely one of the most adorable and sentimental photos he has with her. Prince William collaborates with Child Bereavement UK to help other kids who lose their parents at a young age as well.

Best Friends

Queen Elizabeth was four years older than Princess Margaret but they got along very well and they were actually the best of friends. Princess Margaret reportedly had a nickname for her older sister and it was “Lilibeth.” The sisters were apparently always together and even when they became adults and lived in different homes, they would still make it a habit to keep in touch. The Kensington Palace and Buckingham Palace had a direct phone line that helped the sisters contact each other with such ease. Princess Margaret was a very controversial Royal because of her heavy smoking, divorce, and various affairs with men.

Princess Anne The Talented Equestrian

Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip have been married to each other for more than seven decades already and together, they are parents to four wonderful children. Out of their four offspring, Princess Anne is the only girl. Just like Queen Elizabeth, Princess Anne also loves horses. Anne was even able to pursue an equestrian career at some point. In fact, she won the gold once during the European Eventing Championships back in 1971. She takes credit for being the first ever Royal who was able to compete in the Olympics.

Young Meghan On Stage

Do you recognize this adorable little girl? Yes, it’s Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, at the age of 5. It seems that Meghan always knew that she wanted to be in the spotlight. It’s no wonder, considering the fact that she frequently visited the set with her father who is a director of photography. Her parents divorced about a year after this photo was taken and she has two half-siblings with whom she is apparently not in a good relationship. Meghan recently announced her pregnancy and she and her husband, Prince Harry, are expecting a baby in spring 2019.

The Sleepy Royal Brothers With Their Mother

This must be one of the cutest photos of Prince Harry and Prince William. The photo was taken in Mallorca, Spain in 1988 and the boys were apparently sleepy while sitting near their mother, Princess Diana. These three had a wonderful connection and Prince Harry, one of the heirs of Diana’s estate, spoke about his late mother often in recent years. Upon his marriage to Meghan Markle in May 2018, Prince Harry gained another title. Just like his brother and sister-in-law, Prince William and Kate Middleton, who became the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge after they wed, he and his bride officially became the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Meghan Markle Shared Her First Official Photo to Twitter Since Becoming Duchess

Unlike the other Royal couples, Harry and Meghan seem to be so close that there is almost nowhere they are without each other’s company. And they are not afraid to show their affection in public! The loving couple must be even more in love with one another now that they are expecting their first child to come into this world by 2019. However, they are enjoying their time before becoming parents and Meghan is just quite proud of her husband at whatever he does. She recently posted on her Twitter account this photo of Prince Harry’s appearance at the Invictus Games in Australia.

One Picture That Clarifies Who Is The Real Father

We can confidently say that Prince Harry shares a great resemblance with his father, Prince Charles, and it’s evident he has inherited his father’s smile and charm. Though he resembled Princess Diana more when he was a child, it’s now obvious whom he’s taken after. Undoubtedly, Prince Charles is very important to the newlyweds, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, that they have even delayed their honeymoon so that they can attend Prince Charles’ 70th birthday celebration.

Once A Homecoming Queen, Now A Royal

Meghan Markle’s first name is actually Rachel. It also happens that her character on the legal drama series Suits which made her famous is also named Rachel. It turns out that the gorgeous actress-turned-royal was a homecoming queen back in 1998. She did look like a queen indeed. But what makes Meghan different is her down-to-earth attitude and her beautiful personality. Twenty years after, the homecoming queen became the Duchess of Sussex after her royal wedding in May 2018. Being a true royal, Meghan has used her influence to show support to women and has now focused on issues such as gender inequality.

Matching Outfits

Prince Harry was quite the playful little boy from the photos we’ve seen as opposed to his brother, Prince William, who is standing in front of him looking bright and serious even at that young age. This photo of Princess Diana holding her son while wearing matching outfits is just so precious! The people’s princess has always had such an impeccable fashion style. In a candid interview in 2018, Prince Harry admitted that he was so overcome with grief after the loss of his beloved mother that he buried his head in the sand.

The First Anglo-American Baby in the British Royal Family

By now, the whole world already knows that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are expecting a baby soon. Everyone is talking about how this child will change the course of events. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s soon-to-be-born offspring will be the first Anglo-American baby in the British royal family—a first in history! It appears the baby will be born before Meghan officially becomes a citizen of the United Kingdom. The former Suits actress had reportedly applied for citizenship prior to her engagement to Prince Harry but the paperwork can take years.

Young Queen Elizabeth

This photo of the Queen Mother and Queen Elizabeth II was taken in 1940 when Elizabeth was still a young girl. Despite their opulent lifestyle and their luxurious palace, the Queen Mother has taught the young future ruler her duties and everything she needs to know in order to become a good queen. The Queen Mother died in 2002 at the age of 101. Her 92-year-old daughter is now the longest-reigning current monarch and the longest-serving head of state. The estimated net worth of Queen Elizabeth II is now estimated to be $500 million.

Little Queen

Just look at her posture and grace! Little Elizabeth Angela Marguerite Bowes-Lyon, later known as the Queen Mother, was truly born to be on the throne. This photo was taken in 1926, way before Lady Elizabeth would become the Duchess of York and later Queen. What’s interesting is that Lady Elizabeth wasn’t supposed to be a queen at all. But after her brother-in-law, Edward VIII, abdicated, her husband became King George VI. After her husband’s death and the accession of her daughter to the throne, she became known as Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother. At the time of her death in 2002, she was the longest-lived royal in British history.

Queen Mother in 1942

This photo was taken in 1942 during the war. King George VI and his wife, Queen Elizabeth, provided great support for the people during World War II. They became symbols of the fight against fascism. The Queen refused to leave London, her husband, or even send her children to Canada where they would be safe. She said that her children won’t go without her, she wouldn’t leave the King, and the King will never leave. Although, her expensive clothes were considered too much at the time as they alienated her from common people at those difficult times.

A Royal Walk With The Princesses

In 1934, the young Princess Elizabeth and her sister, Princess Margaret, took a walk with their mother, the Queen. All three of them were dressed elegantly and according to royal fashion. When the girls grew up, Princess Elizabeth became the new monarch of Great Britain while her sister was Countess of Snowdon. Princess Margaret lived a rather controversial life. And after a long battle with health issues, she died in February 2002—less than two months before the Queen Mother. She was a heavy smoker and suffered at least three strokes in a period of three years.

Boys Having Fun

Prince Harry and Prince William may be born into the royal family, but they’re still boys after all. That means they got themselves in trouble from time to time. When Prince William was 9 years old, he was injured when a student accidentally hit him with a golf club. He was rushed to a hospital and underwent a surgery but a scar on his forehead remained. He refers to this as his “Harry Potter scar”. William was a pilot in the East Anglian Air Ambulance but left the position last year to take on more duties on behalf of his grandmother.

Family

In this photo, young Queen Elizabeth II is holding her baby, Princess Anne, while Prince Charles, who was a then a toddler, is roaming around the room. The Queen Mother is sitting beside Elizabeth and reaching for the Prince. Queen Elizabeth II fell in love with her future husband, Prince Philip of Greece and Denmark, when she was only 13 years old. They wrote letters to each other until their engagement became official in July 1947. She was 21 at the time and Prince Philip was foreign-born and with no financial standing so there was some controversy regarding their marriage.

Princess Elizabeth

This photo shows the young and beautiful Queen Elizabeth II about the time she was supposed to marry Prince Philip. Many thought that Prince Philip wasn’t good enough for the young future Queen of England because of his origin and his personal finances. On top of it all, his sisters married German men—a fact that additionally sparked the controversy in the wake of World War II. The two married anyway and remain together after all these years. They became parents to four children, Prince Charles, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew, and Prince Edward.

The New Monarch

Queen Elizabeth II was long prepared to ascend to the throne after her father dies. When his health deteriorated in 1951, she appeared at public events on his behalf. Elizabeth and Philip were on tour in Kenya when the word came that her father, King George VI, had died. The coronation took place on June 2 in 1953 even though her grandmother, Queen Mary, died in March that same year. Elizabeth’s coronation was televised so the whole world saw her become a Queen. Her coronation dress included emblems of the Commonwealth countries.

Elizabeth In WWII

Princess Elizabeth and her sister, Princess Margaret, were young when the war broke out. The future Queen was only 14 while her sister was too young to contribute in any way so she continued with her education. Despite suggestions that Princess Elizabeth and her sister be evacuated and sent to Canada during the war, they, as well as their parents, stayed in Britain despite the danger. The 14-year-old Elizabeth made a radio broadcast in 1940 saying that they are doing everything they can to help their sailors, soldiers, and airmen and that they are also trying to bear their share of the danger and sadness brought upon by the war.

Princess Elizabeth Writing A Letter

This shows a young Princess Elizabeth writing a letter and posing for the photo. In her childhood, she probably never even dreamed of becoming a queen since her uncle Edward VIII was the King. But her fortune changed when he gave up the throne in order to marry a bride of his choosing—a divorcee named Wallis Simpson. Thus, her father became King George VI and Elizabeth became the heir to the throne. What ensued were hours of learning French and preparations for her future duty. A special 1st Buckingham Palace Company was formed so that young Elizabeth could spend time with other girls of the same age.

 Lieutenant Philip Mountbatten

This may be one of the most beautiful photos of the young married couple, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, with their kids. But marrying a future Queen wasn’t easy at all for Philip of Greece and Denmark who had to renounce his titles, give up his religion and convert to Anglicanism, and lastly, change his name and style to Lieutenant Philip Mountbatten. Mountbatten is the surname of his British family. Before the royal wedding in November 1947, Prince Philip became Duke of Edinburgh and was now referred to as His Royal Highness.

The New Queen of United Kingdom

When this photo was taken, Princess Elizabeth had already become Queen Elizabeth II, as she chose to remain her first name as her regnal name. The Queen of the United Kingdom looked splendid with her crown and the royal jewelry on. In one brief moment, her entire life changed and she became a monarch and head of state at the age of 25. But her coronation was held a year after her father’s death so that the family could grieve the loss.  After her coronation, the now Queen Elizabeth and her husband, the Duke of Edinburgh, moved into the Buckingham Palace.

The Royal Family

It was a perfect day for the royal family, posing for a photographer outside their luxurious estate.  In this photo, Queen Elizabeth’s son, Prince Charles, was not a little child anymore and neither was Princess Anne. Their newborn sibling, Prince Andrew, is resting on the lap of their father, the Duke of Edinburgh, while Elizabeth is watching him. Prince Andrew, the royal couple’s third child (and second son), was born in February 1960. When he was born, Prince Andrew was second in line to the throne. But as of 2018, he is now seventh in line.

Choosing the Name

It was expected of young Queen Elizabeth to take on her husband’s last name, as was customary at the time. However, this time it was different. Queen Mary as well as Winston Churchill, the British Prime Minister, requested her to keep the name of Windsor instead. For Prince Philip, this meant he wasn’t able to give his name to his children and he did complain about that. However, when Churchill resigned and Queen Mary died, the surname of Philip and Elizabeth’s male descendants was changed to Mountbatten-Windsor. Prince Philip entered retirement from his royal duties in August 2017.

The Royal Wedding

On November 20, 1947, Princess Elizabeth married Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh. It was not an ordinary royal wedding because, at the time, The United Kingdom was still recovering from the war—which meant that the royal lifestyle was not precisely lavish. Elizabeth couldn’t just buy any wedding gown she wanted without approval because she required ration coupons to buy the material. Her gown was designed by Norman Hartnell and the final design of the dress was a well-kept secret. Interestingly, the Duke’s sisters who were married to Germans weren’t invited to the wedding.

The Corgis

We see two things Queen Elizabeth II is recognized for in this photo: her pearls and her corgis. The Queen has always loved corgis and has owned many of them over the years. She has reportedly owned more than 30 since she assumed the throne. She stopped breeding them in 2015 because she didn’t want to leave any of them behind when she dies. Her last corgi named Whisper died in October 2018. This breed became so popular that there is even an animated film, The Queen’s Corgi, set to be released sometime in 2019.

The Well-traveled Queen

We don’t often get to see photos of young Queen Elizabeth II such as this one. While Elizabeth is holding a camera and enjoying being an amateur photographer, a servant is protecting her from the sun. Since she became a Queen, Elizabeth has traveled extensively and stayed in luxury hotels across the world. Upon her accession to the throne, Elizabeth and her husband embarked on a long tour which lasted seven months and included 13 countries. Queen Elizabeth II is considered to be the most widely traveled head of state.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge

On April 29, 2011, the whole world watched Prince William marry Kate Middleton in a lavish wedding ceremony. To propose to his beautiful bride, Prince William used the same engagement ring that his father gave to his mother when he proposed to her—a white gold ring with 14 round diamonds and a sapphire. The story of Kate and William dates back to 2003 when they reportedly started dating. The two studied at the University of St. Andrews together. Seven years later, William’s brother, Prince Harry, also had his own royal wedding with Meghan Markle in another lavish ceremony in May 2018.

Young Parents

The beautiful royal couple soon started a beautiful family together. In December 2012,  Prince William and Kate Middleton announced her pregnancy. Their first son, Prince George, was born on July 22, 2013. It wasn’t long before she was pregnant again with Princess Charlotte who was born on May 2, 2015. Now a mother of three, Kate is considered as one of the most influential people in the world according to Time magazine. She’s also sort of a fashion icon. When she chooses a fashion designer or a clothing piece, she causes what is known as the “Kate Middleton effect” and people clamor to get their hands on her fashion choices.

Two Watches

When you are a princess, especially such a loved one that you are referred to as the People’s Princess, you can wear not one but two watches and it will still be OK. The ultimate fashion icon from the British royal family, the late Princess Diana, used to wear two watches. Years after her tragic death in a car crash in Paris, she is still considered an icon. But the reason she wore two watches was not a fashion statement but because of romantic feelings. One of the watches belonged to her husband, Prince Charles, while the other one was hers.

Third Baby

The third and youngest child of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, baby boy Prince Louis of Cambridge, was born April 23, 2018. He is only six months old but is already a celebrity just like his siblings, Prince George and Princess Charlotte. During all of her three pregnancies, Duchess Catherine suffered from hyperemesis gravidarum which caused her to cancel her public engagements and be hospitalized for a while. After Kate and William’s wedding, the leaders of the Commonwealth decided to change the succession law and adopt absolute primogeniture so that the first child becomes the heir to the throne regardless of the gender.

A Stylish Prince

One of the youngest members of the British royal family, Prince George, is now 5 years old and is third in line of succession to the British throne. He is the eldest of the three children of Prince William and is expected to become the king one day. On occasion, Prince George travels on tours with his parents and he is already considered an influence on popular culture. When he was born, celebrations were held throughout the Commonwealth. As of September 7, 2017, George attends the private Thomas’ School in Battersea.

Still Active

Queen Elizabeth II may be 92 years old, but she is still going strong. We guess there is no “taking a break” when you’re a monarch—and the longest-reigning monarch as well! The Queen continues to be active despite her age and is the patron of over 600 charity organizations. She does not have any plans to abdicate from the throne. However, as of 2018, the Queen carries out fewer public engagements while her son, Prince Charles, takes on more duties. On April 20, 2018, it was announced that the Queen will be succeeded by Prince Charles as head of the Commonwealth.

A Perfect Family

Princess Charlotte was still a baby when this photo was taken and the youngest of Kate Middleton and Prince William’s children hasn’t been born yet. The royal couple follows a strict royal tradition when they appear in public and they are teaching their children to do the same. The young ones follow their parents’ lead and wave gracefully when in public while looking elegant in their tiny yet sharp royal clothes. Prince William and Kate are rarely apart from their kids and find showing affection to be crucial in parenting.

Woman to Woman

Oh, it’s just Duchess Catherine and former First Lady of the United States, Michelle Obama, chatting as women do and looking stunning in their designer dresses. Both women are regarded as fashion influencers so this was quite the meeting for many. Duchess of Cambridge and Michelle Obama first met in 2011 shortly after the royal wedding of Kate and William. Several years later, Kate and Michele would meet again at Kensington Palace in 2016. It seemed like they were really close and chatting about something important. In March 2018, Catherine hosted a Commonwealth Fashion Exchange together with Sophie, Countess of Wessex.

The Queen and Prince Charles

In this photo above, we can see a rare moment of the young Queen of the United Kingdom taking a walk with her firstborn, Prince Charles, and one of her beloved corgi dogs. For the first time in 40 years, the Queen did not attend the biennial meeting of the Commonwealth heads of states due to her advanced age. Nowadays, she doesn’t travel as much as she used to while her husband already retired as the Queen’s consort in 2017. Elizabeth became the first monarch to celebrate a platinum wedding anniversary.

Record-Breaker

Queen Elizabeth II is truly a record-breaker when it comes to how long she has been reigning. She has been the Queen for more than six decades already and that makes her the monarch with the longest reign. As you can see, wearing a crown really fits her and pairing it with diamond earrings just makes her look breathtaking. One good thing about Queen Elizabeth is the fact that she never dwells on politics. You would never hear her share some political views. All the British prime ministers have had a lot of respect for the Queen.

Not A Perfect Marriage

Being married into the Royal family is such a one-of-a-kind experience since you get to turn the fantasy of being a Prince/Princess into a reality. Princess Diana tied the knot with Prince Charles in 1981 and more than 750 million people watched their royal wedding on TV. The couple later had two handsome sons, Prince William and Prince Harry. Sadly, Diana and Charle’ marriage was soon inundated with marital problems that escalated and led to a divorce in 1996. Diana’s death had a lot of conspiracy theories alluding to the idea that the tragic car crash, which happened just a year after her marriage with Charles had ended, might not have been an accident…

Traveling By Sea

Given the fact that she is Royalty, Queen Elizabeth II was able to enjoy some pretty lavish vacations, like boarding a luxury yacht. Back in 1953, the royal ship The Royal Britannia was launched and it is said that the yacht was in use for more than four decades. Traveling by sea was actually quite common back then and a lot of famous celebrities had dined with the Queen in the royal yacht. As of today, the royal yacht is treated as a tourist attraction and it is permanently docked at Leith, Edinburgh.

Mingling With A U.S. President

During Queen Elizabeth’s reign as queen, she has seen a lot of men serve as Presidents of the United States. The photo above shows the Queen casually having a chat with former United States President Ronald Reagan as they are leisurely riding horses. Reagan served as President from 1981-1989. Before becoming President, he was the Governor of California and an actor in Hollywood. Pneumonia connected to his Alzheimer’s disease became the cause of Reagan’s death back in 2004. The Queen was not able to attend Reagan’s funeral but Prince Charles was the one who represented her.

Reminders of the past

For those of us who are of some age, this daring look by Meghan Markle brings to mind memories of Prince Harry’s late mother, Princess Diana. Do you remember when she wore that see-through garment taking the news by storm? It appears that Meghan did the same bold move in an appearance she made along with her husband in Rotorua wearing a high fashion blue sheer skirt by Givenchy. We don’t know if she really went for it anyway or if it was a wardrobe-malfunction-situation she didn’t see coming. The New Zealand sun might be partly responsible too, but we have to say that no matter what, she looks classy!

Going All The Way To Asia

Queen Elizabeth II is well-traveled and given the fact that her family has a private jet, she can travel with ease. One of the remarkable places that she was able to visit was the Great Wall of China. Her trip to China happened back in October 1986. This was the first time that a British royal was able to tour the Asian country. The Queen was able to meet with some Chinese leaders and go see different popular landmarks. She and husband Prince Philip also went to Beijing for a State Banquet. The Queen’s most recent state visit was back in 2015 when she went to Germany.

Visiting South Africa As A Princess

Back in the 1940s, Elizabeth was just a Princess and not a Queen yet. She would travel with her parents King George VI and Queen Elizabeth a lot and one of the places they visited as a family was South Africa. The family did not travel by boarding a private plane for they traveled by sea aboard the HMS Vanguard. Their travels lasted about three months. Elizabeth definitely packed a lot of nice clothes and looked angelic as she walked the streets of South Africa. It was during this trip to South Africa that Elizabeth said she would devote herself to serving the country.

Little Duchess Of Cambridge

The Duchess of Cambridge, Catherine a.k.a. Kate Middleton became a member of the Royal family when she tied the knot with Prince William back in 2011. Middleton is from a village named Chapel Row and she met William in the early 2000s when they were both students at the University of St Andrews. Kate was quite adorable when she was younger (and lovely until now) and her kids Prince George and Prince Charlotte definitely inherited her cuteness. In April 2018, Prince William and Kate welcomed their third child together, named Prince Louis.

Through Thick & Thin

Kate Middleton first got Prince William’s attention when they both attended a charity fashion show in their university. They reportedly started dating in 2003 but they never really gave a formal confirmation. When they were sophomores, she lived in the same flat as William but they also had two other friends living with them. What you might not have known is that William and Kate actually broke up in 2007. Fortunately, they were able to rekindle what they had and they ended up getting engaged in 2010. The engagement ring that William gave Kate apparently belonged to his late mother, Princess Diana.

Life-Changing Blessing

Having kids is always a life-changing event in one’s life because their world starts revolving around them. William and Kate have managed to become very good parents to their kids and it is nice to see that they spend a lot of quality time with them despite the Royal duties that they have. William has already revealed that he once struggled with adjusting from being a bachelor to a married man, and then a father. Although, he says his kids really opened his eyes and made him love life even more. When it comes to succession to the throne, Prince George is third in line followed by Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

Taking The Kids On A Ski Trip

Just like any other family in the world, Prince William and Kate Middleton also take their kids out on vacations. Their family once had a trip to the French Alps in 2016. Given the fact that they are quite a high-profile family, they made sure that no one really knew about their getaway. Reports said that they even hired a private photographer to capture the moments they had on their trip. The luxury hotel the family stayed in was the same hotel that high-profile couple David and Victoria Beckham stays in as well.

The Queen & Her Successors

The photo above is definitely a sentimental one because it is a photo of the Royals from different generations. It is so nice how much Queen Elizabeth II was blessed when it comes to her health because she got to experience having great-grandchildren. Prince George is definitely stealing the show in the photo because of his adorable grin. Prince George has such a bright future ahead of him as there will come a time when he will be crowned as King. As of 2018, Prince George is the youngest person who has ever graced the best-dressed list of Tatler.

High-Profile Friends

Prince William and Prince Harry are celebrities in their own right because everyone knows them. As high-profile people themselves, they also get to mingle with some very big names from different industries. In 2011, Prince William and Kate Middleton had the chance to meet famous singer Jennifer Lopez in Los Angeles. Lopez was wearing a beautiful designer dress by Emilio Pucci. No doubt that Lopez was equally excited to meet and chat with real-life Royalty. Lopez is getting quite active again in the acting scene these days and she is going to star in a new movie called Second Act.

A Young & Hardworking Elizabeth

Elizabeth was very young when the Second World War took place, so her parents made sure that their children were safe without abandoning the monarchy. When Elizabeth was just 14 years old, back in 1940, she was able to make her radio broadcast debut through Children’s Hour. Her Grenadier Guards visit in 1943 was the first time she had ever made a public appearance alone. When she was getting close to turning 18 years old, she got to be a Counsellor of State. The year 1945 was when she finally became an honorary second subaltern in the British Army.

Portraits Took A Lot Of Effort

Photography is something that has been around for ages but of course, technology was not advanced back then. When Elizabeth was younger, taking a family portrait was quite complicated. They did not hire a photographer but instead commissioned an artist to do their portrait. This meant that their family had to spend some time posing for the artist. Clearly, Elizabeth knew how to pose and definitely could have done some modeling if she wanted to. Well-behaved, sensible, and jolly were the words used when Elizabeth’s cousin Margaret Rhodes described her.

Learning A Lot From Grandma

Queen Mary of Teck was Elizabeth’s grandmother who played a big role in her life. Queen Mary influenced Elizabeth in so many ways, particularly on her education and attitude. She wanted Elizabeth to be knowledgeable and well-rounded when the time came that she would rule the monarchy. Elizabeth was due to be crowned as Queen after King George VI’s death in 1952. Unfortunately, Queen Mary never got to witness Elizabeth as Queen, as she passed away before Elizabeth got crowned. Queen Mary’s death was actually less than three months before Elizabeth was supposed to ascend to the throne.

A Respectful & Respected Woman

Queen Elizabeth definitely knows the meaning of hard work and she learned a lot when she was a part of the Auxiliary Territorial Service. Since she was trained as a mechanic and driver, Elizabeth must have known what to do should the Royal car she was riding on broke down. Being a part of the Royal family promises great affluence but it is still nice to see Royals who are down to earth. Other notable names who became part of the Auxiliary Territorial Service were Nadia Cattouse, Mary Churchill, and Pamela Frankau.

Honeymooning Twice

Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip’s big day happened in November 1947. It was held in Westminster Abbey and the wedding gifts they received numbered more than 2,500. Norman Hartnell was the guy who designed her bridal gown. When it was time to go to their honeymoon, the couple decided to do it twice. Their first honeymoon was in New Hampshire while their second one was in Malta. Philip had to work a bit during their honeymoon since he had duties in the Navy. Philip’s active naval career officially came to an end in July 1951.

Crowning Glory

Just like how Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle are seen as Royal fashion icons today, Elizabeth and her sister Margaret also had a lot of people praising their superb sense of style. They were always dressed in the best trends and they accessorized with beautiful jewelry pieces. Of course, being the true princesses that they were at the time, they were also seen with tiaras. The tiaras were somehow the sisters’ crowning glory. The Filigree tiara Meghan Markle wore during her big day was lent to her the Queen and it originally belonged to Queen Mary of Teck.

Just Wanting To Get The Wedding Underway Already

When Princess Elizabeth was only a teen, she had developed a crush on Prince Phillip, the Duke of Edinburgh. Phillip was a distant cousin, and though she was barely a teen at 13, Elizabeth was totally infatuated with him. Many were surprised by the pairing, as they were completely different from each other. The Duke spoke loudly and didn’t hold back his words while the Princess held herself more in check. So their different characters balanced out each other. They were eager to wed, have their honeymoon, and spend their life together.

Very Quickly Producing The Heir

At only three, Prince Charles became the heir to the British throne when King George VI died. He grew up in more than just a cool mansion – it’s the Buckingham Palace of course, and he had duties to perform. He became the Duke of Cornwall, and as the heir, he has public appearances. While a little boy, Prince Charles went to Westminster Abbey for his mother’s Coronation. Growing up, he was taught at one of England’s preparatory schools, then boarded at Cheam School at Berkshire, and finally went to Scotland to attend Gordonstoun.

What’s Life If You Don’t Stop To Smell The Flowers

The Queen has never been secretive about her love for Balmoral. Even at this present time, she enjoys the beautiful estate as often as she can. This photo shows the entire Royal Family having a relaxing vacation. Look at how young Princess Anne looks! It’s not common knowledge, but Queen Victoria bought Balmoral Castle, and it is still the Royal Family’s private property, rather than belonging to the British state. The property is about 50,000 acres in size.

Finding Common Ground With Regular Folk

During ’69, Queen Elizabeth II formally opened a totally new route for London’s Underground, called Victoria line. That name was given in honor of Queen Victoria, who was the Queen’s great-great-grandmother. The moment was historic because it was the very first time that a Royal had taken a trip on public transportation! Thankfully, there were no accidents. The occasion was viewed by hundreds of thousands of people. In autumn 2019, another line – the Elizabeth Line – in honor of Queen Elizabeth II, will be introduced to London’s Underground.

Listening To The Explanation Why Carpets Won’t Fly?

In 1979, Queen Elizabeth made a state visit to Bahrain and met its Emir. Her state tour in that part of the world got worldwide attention because no one else from the British Royals had previously done a tour of the Middle East. Her visit took her to six Gulf countries, where she made friends with the heads of all the countries. They all had very opulent lifestyles. Back in the UK, the Royal couple each said the UAE people had been unguarded and amicable.

This Is How Good It Feels When You Know You Rocked The Queen!

In 1997, the Queen also wanted to meet the most popular female group of the ’90s, The Spice Girls. Once they had finished performing at the London Palladium for the Royal Variety Show, Queen Elizabeth met them backstage, wearing her gorgeous pearls.  Seen here is Geri Halliwell, meeting the Queen. Gerri departed from that group one year after, surprising the globe. Years later, the group came back together for an unforgettable set at the 2012 Olympics in London.

Riding High During The State Visit

Among the places that Queen Elizabeth had visited accompanied by Prince Philip was India, in 1961. No British monarch had done so since the country had become independent. The Royal pair visited the largest cities, which included Kolkata and Mumbai, and went around the whole country.  The Queen and the Prince also went to the Taj Mahal, India’s most popular site. Additionally, they were the official guests of the nation’s Republic Day Parade. A number of Royals have since gone to India, like Prince William and his bride Kate.

So This Is What It’s Like To Be  A Bride Dressed In Black

When the Queen met with Pope John Paul II in October 1980, she made history by being the first British monarch to ever visit the Vatican. The Pope went on to speak of the visit, describing it as relaxed and warm. Moreover, Pope John Paul and the Queen held private talks and traded ideas concerning the ideals of democracy and freedom. They both love charity. Queen Elizabeth invited the Pope to visit England, which he did, two years later.

Setting Aside The Crown To Explain About Santa

This is a tranquil picture of Queen Elizabeth and two of her sons, Prince Edward and Prince Andrew in ’71 at Christmas. Though no Christmas tree is seen, it was there somewhere in the mansion. Each year during the Holiday season, the Queen gives a speech that is aired in Commonwealth nations. It’s a custom that King George V started in ’32, and Queen Elizabeth has continued it. In modern times, it goes over radio television and the Internet. In 2017, she spoke about the importance of family.

Instagram Artist Brings Princess Diana To Life In Wedding-Themed Photo

Inspired by the royal wedding, a creative artist published on Instagram a number of photos showing members of the royal family. One image showed Princess Diana, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, & Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, all in their wedding dresses. The image has become viral and keeps spreading like a plague. Another picture showed all 3 royals and young Princess Charlotte in her lovely flower girl’s dress smiling for the camera. It’s a fantastic painting depicting three beloved members of the royal family in wedding dresses – There wasn’t a chance it wasn’t going to become viral.

Sharing The Bundle Of Joy

Even though it was during in 1977 that Prince Charles was introduced to Diana Spencer, he didn’t go out with her until during the 1980s. Sometime after, he told Jonathan Dimbleby, the biographer he had selected, that though he didn’t feel any real gush of emotions, he found himself considering Diana as his potential bride. This was after conversing with her at an acquaintance’s barbecue. After this, she began seeing him when he visited Sandringham House and Balmoral Castle. He asked her to marry him in February ’81. They wed some months after.

“Has Anyone Seen My Blankie?”

The first-born of Prince Charles and Princess Diana is Prince William, Duke of Cambridge (William is now a famous father himself). Born in 1982, he is the same age as his spouse, Kate Middleton. He is the second in line to the throne. The citizens of Great Britain were excited to once more have a little one at Buckingham Palace. It was the first time since 1905 that there had been anyone born of a Princess and Prince there. Before that, it was Prince John, son of Queen Mary and her spouse King George V.

The Joy Of Motherhood

The marriage of Prince Charles and Princess Diana was in trouble. While pregnant at three months with Prince William, the Princess, seeing the union crumbling, threw herself down one of the staircases. The only thing that resulted were bruises. Thankfully, the growing baby was unharmed. The Princess completed her pregnancy, having William at the end of a 16-hour labor. Diana and son developed a very special bond. She called him by nicknames, “Will” or “Wombat.”

Hitting A High Note In A Musically Perfect Moment

This photo above of  Princess Diana, Prince William, and Prince Harry, was snapped in 1985. Young William already realized that his mother faced some element of danger due to her popularity with the public. At only seven years of age, he told his mother, he wanted to become a police officer when he became an adult, so he could protect her. That would have meant lots of life insurance! His younger brother Harry quickly reminded him in no uncertain terms that he had to be King.

On the outside looking in, the family looked perfect. But Princess Diana and Prince Charles’ shaky union began to fall apart. Before the wedding took place, things weren’t smooth between the couple. Maybe couples therapy could have helped. During an interview with The Huffington Post, the Royal couple was asked as to whether or not they were infatuated with each other. Diana said yes straight away. Charles questioned the meaning of ‘in-love.’ That pretty much told the public that the couple might not last.

Even when he was quite small, the public was interested in all of Prince William’s activities. This is particularly because he is in line to sit on the throne. His debut public outing was during March ’91, when he visited Cardiff in Wales, accompanying his parents during a formal trip. He traveled by private jet, then was taken to Llandaff Cathedral. The young Prince signed the book for visitors, during which time that the public learned of his being left-handed.

Royal Motherhood Become Her

Then-Princess Elizabeth and Prince Phillip did not delay in having children. She had Prince Charles just after the wedding took place in 1948, at age 22. The Archbishop of Canterbury, Geoffrey Fisher, baptized Charles in the palace’s Music Room. Only one month before he was born, the King issued a letters patent. This states that Princess Elizabeth’s children could use the Royal title of Prince or Princess, although their father was not a Royal Prince.
